Exhange rate on board? How does this compare with high street?

HI. Thanks for reading this. Could you let me know how the bureau de exchange fairs on the cruise ships? We are going in 3 days, very short notice and wondered if we got short of euros we could cash some sterling? Any advice as usual helpful

We find the post office gives the best exchange rates then if we run out we plan to use card in an ATM (if you have a Nationwide card they don't charge commission abroad) but we have never run out yet...we always come home with some euros!! I think the ships rates are a bit higher but don't know exact figures.

Went on Spirit 8 weeks ago and exchange rate was comparable with rate back home and better than rate ashore.
