Sky problems - isolated?

Hi there,

To those of you who have returned from the Sky and encountered A/C and/or toilet problems, can you share what cabins you were in? I am curious if this is isolated to a certain part of the ship or if it's ship wide. It appears the A/C is an issue Aft.

I am sailing tomorrow and am still looking forward to it. I can handle not so good service in the restaurants (there is always the buffet) and possiblly A/C issues (we have a balcony so there will be air), but the toilet thing does have me a little concerned.

Thanks!!

I hope you have a fabulous cruise! Let us know how it goes.

I think putting all the "bad" cabins in one thread is a great idea.

No problem! I stayed in aft cabin #9276 which has a dirty carpet, a non working remote control, and of course, no cold a/c. Avoid it like the plague!

VegasVic, I actually mentioned you while talking to NCL because the lady I spoke to was saying that there was no reason to worry about future cruises in August because by then it would be resolved. I said, "Well, I know someone is leaving on the Sky tomorrow, what about them?" She didn't have much to say.

What cabin are you staying in? I am really worried that you will have to suffer liek we did because as of 9:30 a.m. today, Mrs. Ponder from Customer realtions said that there were still known problems aboard the Sky. :(

I probably should have included that in my post, but we are on deck 10 balcony cabin 0225. This is more forward than I normally like, but I am now thinking it may be a good thing. As another poster stated, there is the "gravity" thing that may work in my favor concerning the toilet issues.

As I said, I can handle most any issue afterall we are on a cruise, but the toilet thing really has me concerned. It's almost comical with all the hand sanitizers NCL had all over the Jewel that they allow this health hazard to continue.

I appreciate all that you have done blackerbys17 to try and make it better for those of use travelling behind you.

It's too bad that we all seem to be focusing on these bad issues rather than the good ones. Hopefully, there will be some??? :D

Then there is the no-more-free drinks issue in the casino!! That's almost worse than the toilet thing!!! (BTW, I asked Casino Marketing about this yesterday and I was told that has been discontinued fleet wide. I haven't checked yet, but I wonder if they have removed that perk from the website?)

Keep the info coming . . . .

VegasVic, the only think I can tell you to help make up for the "no free drinks" in the casino thing is to go sign up for an art auction, grab your free glass of champagne and walk right back out. :D

By the way, on Carnival they kep the champagne flowing during the whole auction. We all drank sooo much that we bought something, lol. I guess that is how they get you. However, on the Sky it was oen free glass per person. Needless to say, hardly anybody bought a single thing. :p
