uscspur Posted August 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2008 My husband, 2yr old (dont have a babysitter!), and I are going on an Alaskan cruise the end of August and I was wondering what the whole experience is like. What do we pack for outerwear? Are there any excursions for a toddler to enjoy? Anything that we shouldnt miss while we are there. We are going on a 7 day cruise then heading up to Denali for a days. I cannot wait! Thanks for anyones help!

Fredr Posted August 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2008 Hello, Consider renting a car in Juneau. This will give you the flexibility to go and do what you want...do not miss Auke Bay and Saint Theresa's Church, and Mendenhall Glacier. Rent a Wreck is an excellent company because they will pick you up at the ship's dock and return you there. Say hello to Konnie, the owner. Rent a car in Skagway and drive up into the Canadian Yukon as far as Whitehorse. Avis has an office about three blocks or so from the ship's dock. Sitka and Ketchikan can be seen on foot. Hope that this helps, Fred
southcarolinagirl Posted August 13, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2008 Couldn't help but notice your name-USCSPUR- does this relate to Carolina Gamecocks? We are going on the Alaska cruise 8-29-08.
