I have a question for you. Were the views impacted at all by the time of year you went? I found the pics very good indeed. My wife loved the whale pics...We are looking at going to Alaska Sep 05, 10-14 day cruise...

Crazy One

All in all, I think the pictures from our late Aug-early Sept trip came out better than our late May-early June trip. This might have been the luck of the draw or something else. We had more rain and more sun in Sept. In our early trip, we had mostly grey skies everyday until we got to last cruise day outside of Vanc. No rain in Ketchikan either trip. Weather in Skagway and ISP were nice and sunny which makes great pictures.

Second week of Sept sort of takes Denali out of the plans since it has started shutting down by then. There should be good sales in stores, and less people.

It must be luck, because I had the opposite happen. I went the first week of June and the first 2 weeks in Sept and the June were better for me.
