Has anyone rented jet skis

on Orient Beach? Which vendor did you use and what was the cost?

I have always seen jet skies operating at Orient but don't remember which beach bar rented them.

Thanks! My sons want to do this and I thought St Martin would be a better place than Labadee... better access to emergency services :rolleyes: . Neither have done this before so I'm a little concerned for their safety:o .

Last week we paid $50 for a half hour, $55 if you use credit card. It seems like every other building on the beach rented them, so they are all pretty much the same. I think you have to be older than 16 to drive.

We rented Jet Skis off the beach in Phillipsburg and because of all of the competition they offered rentals for $35 for a half hour and $60 for an hour.(few tourists, we were the only ship in port). A half hour was more than plenty. You were allowed to go all the way out to the resorts in the backround of the picture below.

owning my own jetski for the past 4 years, biggest safety tips are that

 

1. there are no brakes

2. you must give it trottle in order to steer

3. Keep safe distances from other watercraft/people/shore

 

Other than that, there shouldn't be any issues.
