jdaa Posted October 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2004 I have a question for previous Shadow cruisers. We're leaving next week for a Southern Caribbean cruise. I'm taking strapless/sleveless dresses and tops for dinner. Am I going to freeze in the dining room? Will I need to take some sort of wrap to cover my shoulders? Would a small fur stole be appropriate? I would feel a little ridiculous packing fur for the Caribbean, but want to be comfortable. I'm not particularly cold natured by the way. Thanks for your help! melbcruise Posted October 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2004 When we were on the Whisper in April in the southern carribean the rooms weren't cold. I wore sleevless and was fine. You may want to bring a wrap (pashmina sp.?) a fur wouldn't look right down there.
luvtojump Posted October 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2004 jdaa, I ate all over the ship (dining room, terrace cafe, le champagne) with sleeveless dresses and was never cold. I have been know to "borrow" my husband's suit jacket every now and then. I thought the temps were fine on the Shadow. Happy Sailing. Lisa
jdaa Posted October 27, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted October 27, 2004 I'm so relieved to hear that the rooms are kept at a comfortable temperature. Thanks1
unfathomable Posted November 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2004 On occasion on the Whisper, it has been uncomfortably cool in the dining room, especially if you sit right by a window -- must be where the aircon vents? But if you ask a member of staff, they will tweak the temperature up a bit, which usually fixes the problem.
