Hi EH1:)

Dress code on the Destiny can be as formal or informal as you want it to be. There is one particularly formal night which is the Captains Gala Night where most men wear dress suits and ladies wear their best frocks, but you don't have to attend if you don't want to. Men can wear normal suits with a shirt and tie and ladies can wear trousers and a nice top if you feel more comfortable.

In the Seven Seas Restaurant which is waiter service, it is normally smart/casual. Men don't have to wear ties but they don't allow shorts or vest type t-shirts.

In the Lido buffet you can wear whatever you want. We usually eat here but always change before going, but we have seen people in the same things as they have worn all day!!!

All in all Thomson has a pretty relaxed atmosphere which is why most people return year after year, I know that is one of the main reasons we have always chosen Thomson.

I'm sure you'll have a gret time and look forward to your review when you get back.

Smiffy:rolleyes:

Hallo EH1,we will be on the Transatlantic trip on 19th April 2009 also. There will be four of us in our party. We will be doing the formal nights men in dinner suits ladies in cocktail dresses.it is an integral part of cruising although not compulsory. Two of us have cruised with Thomson many times and always enjoyed it,the ships may not be as flash as some we have been on but the atmosphere on board is second to none.Roll on April.

Oh ! It's good to hear others are going and we won't be rattling around the ship on our own ! We've been booked since last March and cant quite beleive how quickly its going in . It's our Silver wedding on 21st April and Iwas wondering if it was possible to arrange something like a special breakfast or champagne with dinner once we were on or do youhave to do this via Thompsons before we go ?
