In Acapulco for less than 24 hrs - help

WE dock at 7:00 a.m. and I am assuming will be off the boat around 9 or so.

We arranged for a person to pick us up at the ship, take us to CiCi so our adult children could swim with the dolphins. we plan about three hours there. Then our driver will take us to our resort, Pierre Marques. our plan was to spend the rest of the day and evening there before we leave early the next morning to fly home.

Does anyone have any recommendation regarding our plan? We have never been to Acapulco. We would enjoy the beach somewhat but are not people that love to sit on the beach for hours. Is there enough things to check out at the resort for the afternoon and evening. Since we leave early, we will probably go to bed early.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
