Sapphire Pools on Alaska Itinerary

Hi - I am considering taking my kids on the Sapphire Alaska itinerary at the end of August. I'm worried it will be too cold to use the pools. Does anyone know if the pool under the retractable roof (the Calypso Pool) will be open? Is it an adult only pool?

Pattie, if this is any help to you; when we did Alaska on Star the retractable roof was closed the entire trip.................I of course just HAD to go into the outside one and sit in the hot tub, in the rain, in the chill, in Alaska.............it was great.

Oh, also just on Sapphire they kept it closed until we got into Mexico.

We were on the Sapphire this past August...all of the pools were open and the roof on the enclosed pool was closed. While I did not swim, there were a lot of people using the enclosed pool.

Thanks for your input. It's really important for us to have the pools as we will be taking our two boys (ages 10 and 8). They would die without the pools. I think I'm going to book it!!! Again, thanks.
