I am a solo traveler cruising on the Dec. 13 sailing of the Independence of the Seas. Please let me know if you will be aboard. I'd like to meet other "like-minded" passengers.

I am travelling with my partner on the Independence on Dec 13. I have not been in this message board in a year but thought I would see whats going on. We usually don't get involved too much with the "Dorothy" group when cruising since most are not too compatible with us ( we are kind of conservative) and too many that attend those "Dorothy" meetings are not our cup of tea.

How come you are sailing alone? I did that once 2 years ago-wow, turned out to be a lot more exciting than i thought it would be :)

I'm glad you decided to check the board. I have never gone to the FOD meetings, so I have no real judgement on the attendees.

 

I decided to try solo travel last year on the Mariner of the Seas, and I really enjoyed it. I met some nice people, straight and gay. Since most of my friends cannot get away because of work obligations or money concerns, I decided it is better to cruise alone than stay at home.
