Santo Tomas and Puerto Barrios City Tour w/ NCL

In Santo Tomas there is a 400 year old church. Puerto Barrios was the town where the original port for National Fruit was located until it was destroyed in an earthquake many years ago, so is a sizable town (not like we'd think of a city with skyscrapers, but for a remote province, a decent sized town).

The fact that you are in a new country, amidst the lush vegetation, at the port used by National Fruit Company (that's what most of those containers are for), means there are lots of people who live & work there. Going into the towns can afford you a cultural opportunity to see how they live, how they drive, what they drive, what they eat, drink etc. Don't miss a chance on any excursion to pass up these valuable bits of information.

of course the countryside is beautiful, but you might want to incorporate some Guatemalans into your excursion.
