Backround

We were a group of 6 adults and 3 kids. Our ages were between 4-11 and 28-40. For us two this 6th cruise (RCCL 1, HAL 1, MSC 1 and NCL 3 times). One of the other families have cruised RCCL once.

Ship

Jade was nice and clean. The atrium was nicer than on Pearl or Gem. The Hawai theme was allower, but it was not a problem. Crew was the nicest we have ever seen.

Cabin

We hade a wonderfull mini-suite. Clean and nice cabin with enough space and that "suite"-feeling.

Food

Buffet was messy compared to Gem or Pearl. Ice cream station was missing. Only available ice-cream was ths soft one.

Main dining room was very nice for breakfast. Lunch and dinner were not very tasty.

Blue Lagoon was a positive suprise.

Italian restaurant was not as good we expected.

Mexican restaurant was also littlebit of a disappoinment.

Teppanayaki was a good show with very good food.

Sushi bar was really good.

Asian restaurant was good.

Gagneys was as excellent as expected!

Both brunch and dinner were really fine and excellent in Le Bistro. Maitre D was good!

Service

Best and nicest crew we have experienced!

Entartaiment

We had nice time with our group, so we did not saw all the shows. As usual the best show was the crew show.

Ports

Barcelona we only saw from taxi.

Casablanca was nice. No pushing. No guidance offered.

Agadir was our shopping stop. Nice prices.

Las Palmas was clean and modern holiday island.

Funchal was a clean green beauty.

Malaga was a clean shopping paradise for ladies.

Summa Summarum

We had really nice experience. It was so excellent that we almost cried because of the good feeling inside. We had in August an awfull cruise with MSC and maybe this was the reason that NCL was again a right choice for us. Food was really good in special restaurants and stuff really pushed to make us happy! Way to go NCL!

Thanks! - for a short review it has a lot of good, quick info. Pound for pound a great value review!

We didn't eat in a lot of the restaurants (we ate in our room or went to the buffet mostly) but I agree with your comments about Teppanyaki (very good), Italian (not that great), Cagney's (breakfast & lunch very good, didn't have dinner there so can't comment), and Le Bistro (dinner and ambiance very nice).

Happy to hear your nice time on NCL offset your not-so-good MSC cruise.

Cheers,

Joyce
