Western Caribbean - March vs. April?

We're thinking about a western Caribbean cruise (probably hitting Roatan, Belize City, Grand Cayman and one other). It looks like there is about a $200 difference in price between the two time frames. What should we expect in terms of weather, waves, etc. between late March or mid april? I'm al for saving money, but if there is a huge difference in our experience I'd rather spend the extra bucks.
