peabody99 Posted January 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2009 so lets get the latest- Costa is luring us with the amazing combination of price and itinerery (esp. better itinerery than any of competitors) for a transatlantic. Money does come into play, but is not a deciding factor. In fact our beloved Oceania has a Transatlantic cruise twice as much which we would gladly pay, but the the route is not as good. I have sailed MSC and the only positives was the itinerery, price and fellow passangers (diverse and interesting). The service, except in main dining room was atrocious ship wide. It was comically rude and hard to overlook (am I on candid camera? our 4 European tablemates at dinner thought the same thing BTW) . the food was far below average. I am wondering if I can subject myself to this again....but maybe for the right ports of call---maybe?. has anyone sailed both, either Europe or transatlantic? thoughts?
