peter_krynicki Posted January 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 27, 2009 Is there a charge to go in the cemetery? Is it close enough to walk to it? The main entrance is on the corner of Angela and Margeret Streets. Angela is off Duval, six blocks from the northern end, the end where you dock. Then Margeret is 3 - 4 blocks off Duval, to your left. There is a lot of information here, including how to find some of the more famous tombstones... http://www.keywest.com/cemetery.html Entrance is free. EricaLovesCats Posted January 30, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2009 I LOVE the cemetary! (I know, who says that?) I go jogging through there, I like the people, very quiet, lol. :p There is no entrance fee, but there is a small donation box. Next to the donation box are the maps (which come in handy - get one). There is a beautiful angel in the back, near the Jewish section. I can't take my eyes of her sometimes. Also right in front of the Jewish section is the grave that says "I told you I was sick". Hiliarious! Near the angel is the Otto family plot. They had their pets buried there too (including a pet deer named Elfie!). Elfie's gravestone is in the shape of a small deer, very pretty. There is also a military section... I could keep going, but I'll let you see everything for yourself. Yes it is totally walkable from the cruiseship dock, enjoy!
