Agree 110.00%. Every business is trying to make it. We got a cruise to Alaska, balcony for under $2000.00 total including airfare, because my wife got an EMail from SW Airlines about a deal and checked RCCL and found a cruise that fit. I try to get best deal possible, but find it irritating that people always seem to want the extra mile. Saw an item yesterday that people were not happy to get a ball cap, I'm Diamond and very happy to sail on RCCL. We have done 9 cruises on RCCL (inclds a couple of Jr Suites and 4 on Carnival).

 

We live 30 mins from Port Canaveral and see daily news about crusing industry. Big thing right now is Gambling ships wanting to open in the port, because people don't want or can't afford to go off shore.

I like:

Thinking about myself and DH only and not about some privilege others might be getting - who cares - I'm on vacation!

 

Waking up in a different place every day

 

Spending sea days in a lounge chair reading books and watching people

 

Having my room made up twice daily and if lucky with towel animals on my bed

 

Being able to do what I want when I want

 

Being on VACATION!

 

Meeting new people in the dining room

 

Waking up to bright sunshine and warm weather when it would be cold back home

 

Being with friends and family when we choose to cruise together.
