Apartments in Rome

We will be staying in Rome for 3-4 days at the end of a cruise Oct. 09 and would like to have a apt. We like to do our own breakfast, eat a big meal during the day and have wine and cheese and fruit for supper. An apt. would be ideal for this. Has anyone had any rental experiences, good or bad. Thanks in advance for all info.

We have not had a rental for Rome, but I have used the VRBO.com site where there are rentals all over the world. We have used them in Palm Springs, and in London England. They have phone numbers to call the owners, and they are often owned by Brits or Americans. The site has photos, and recommendations. I also have checked them against Trip Advisor, and asked for other references. Give them a go - they will even give you an "insurance" policy once you have booked, that gives you up to $5000 in case the owners back out of the deal. Good Luck and enjoy La Dolce Vita while you are there.
