Millennium Deck 9 Aft cabin

Lots of good cautionary advice about deck 9 on Millennium and the noise from the deck above. The Aft cabins don't appear to have anything above them. Can anyone confirm? We're booked for a corner aft cabin on June 26 sailing. Not sure I can do anything anything about it at this point but good to know! Would appreciate the info!

The oceanview cafe is on Deck 10 right above the aft cabins. You will have some noise at night and early morning when chairs are being moved and cleaning done. That being said, I would take an aft corner on any deck. The cabins and the decks are enormous.

Some have also complained from deck 9 about hearing music late at night but we didn't from deck 8 aft CC middle. Have heard a lot about the chair scraping from deck 9, too, but didn't hear any of that from deck 8 either!

We've been on AFT Deck 9. Don't hesitate. Grab it !!! Would do it in a New York minute !!! Enjoy your cruise......

We've had a corner Aft on 9 before, and yes you do hear some chair scraping, but the additional space of the cabin, and the large balcony, more than make up for the noise issue.

The music from the Bar on deck 10 was a fine accompaniment to our last evening as we sat and watched the boats brightly lit, and the Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge all visible from our balcony on deck 7 (he's a good guitarist!..average singer) BUT we never heard a sound INSIDE the cabin, from either above, or from cabins to our side...those cabins have very good soundproofing I think. Were the quietest we've ever had. Surely 9 would be more sound but not offensive, and he stops at 10:30 or so! You will get some paper scraps etc. blowing down on all the aft balconies...but our attendants vacuumed the balcony regularly to keep it clear of trash.
