Xel-ha

We are thinking about going to Xel-Ha for our excursion at Calica. Does anyone know how far Xel-Ha is from the port and how much a taxi would cost. We are planning to book the tour ourselves through the Xel-ha website. It is much cheaper and we can get all inclusive. Also has anyone else done the all inclusive? I would like to know if it was worth it.

Thanks

I dont' know anything about the taxi and cost, but I have bee to Xel-ha. It is worth every penny. We did the all-inclusive. It included food and drinks as well as the most park adventures. It is so beautiful. You will love it!

We're doing a land vacation in PDC later this year and Xel Ha is tops on my list. Calica is closer to Xel Ha than PDC is, but if you take a taxi from PDC to Xel Ha it currently runs around 360 pesos (less than $36 one way) for up to 4 people

Why not take a collectivo to Xel-Ha? The collectivo only costs $2 for each person from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. I strongly recommend getting the inclusive package at Xel-Ha. That allows you to eat as much as you desire and includes snorkeling equipment and locker. We thought Xel-Ha was much better than X-Caret.
