cloning a card can happen at home. If you are in the USA, federal law protects you anyway so you don't need to pay anything more than $50 of improper charges. i would not avoid using a credit card based on that "warning."

 

This also applies in the UK, credit card foots the bill. My main concern is that using a card where it is "more likely to" or known to happen, just costs the credit card companies more money which they then pass on to us as interest.
