Friar's Bay/calm beach ?'s

Hello,

I was told to check out Friar's Bay. I was wondering how far from the cruise terminal it is to the beach and about how much for a taxi for 3 people?

 

I'm really looking for is a calm beach to go swimming and snorkelling if anyone can suggest? Same thing, about how far for whatever beach from the cruise terminal and approx. taxi fares? Last time we were in St. Martin, we went to Orient Bay and it was nice.
