Do I need rain boots and pants?

Breezey

Recommended Posts

OK 3 weeks today we are on board the Infinity!!

I have waterproof shoes that I wear in the snow (when its not deep) and in the rain. Is that enough or do I need to bring rain boots too?

Do we need to bring rain pants as well if all we will be doing is whale watching, float plane, no major hiking just walking around etc?

Tks

You will need a breathable, waterproof jacket (Gore-tex, etc.) but for the excursions that you listed, that should be enough. I brought waterproof shoes but never wore them. If the ones that you have are warm and comfortable I would bring them but I wouldn't buy waterproof shoes just for this cruise.

May sound odd:confused: last May I carried a Goretex rain suit (golfing type)

with me to Alaska. I wore it three times ! Once deep sea fishing (caught a nice King Salmon) and twice while on excursions. I was quite comfortable when others complained of being cold and pleased that I brought it along:cool:
