Using DVC pts & upgrades

Hi. we just booked on the Magic for Sept 12th , my DH, Stepdaughter (21) & myself, using our Disney Vacation points, we are on the 7th deck, in an inside deluxe stateroom-my DH have cruised 5 xs on RCL, I cruised 6 yrs ago on the Magic, with my DD & DS (adult ages) anyways, back then we got an upgrade from outside to a verandah, has anyone gotten upgrades lately that used dvc pts? When I booked they told me that its highly unlikely that we would get an upgrade. Thanks Val S.

We either book Cat 11 (sometimes Cat 5) staterooms. Sometimes on points sometimes for cash and have never received a free upgrade - we've cruised Disney seven times. The rooms are Disney are much larger than on other cruiselines.
