faithers Posted May 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2009 I don't have any experience with using ginger, but if taking medicine is your biggest concern, you might want to try a pair of Sea Band bracelets. You can buy them at most drugstores. There are several different types, but the basic version looks like a sweatband with a little plastic bubble. The plastic bubble pushes on an acu-pressure point on your wrist that prevents motion sickness. I've used them for years, and haven't had motion sickness since. I never travel without them. Happy ks Posted May 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2009 I've tried the candied ginger, couldn't bear the taste of it for long. I tried the ginger capsules and got terrible heartburn. I do use the seabands and they work. If I'm feeling a bit queasy, I just order a ginger ale. Of course you can take a bag of candy along with you!
