Star Clipper and Windstar

We have done both in Tahiti and the Med. The short answer is Star Clipper is just a bit more fun. There are a few things we like better on Windstar like the room service which is fantastic. Star Clipper though fullfills the true tall ship sailing experience for us.

All in all the passengers on Star Clipper seem to be a bit more relaxed and easy going. I can't say enough good things about our last Star Clipper cruise in Tahiti and we are going again in December.

Both Windstar and Star Clippers do a great job and I'm am very happy they are there to give us an alternative to the average mega ship cruise experience.

Got to agree with Airbus Pat. Star Clippers are a bit less formal, a bit more laid back and and personal and have the true sailing experience. Windstar is more structured, formal, has fabulous staff and breakfast and lunch outside in the sunshine if you want. Passenger mix and food on Star Clippers is a bit more international than Windstar. Been on 5 Star Clippers and 3 Windstar cruises. Both are wonderful in different ways.
