Snackdaddy Posted December 13, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2004 Greetings, One of my co-workers just recommended a local restaurant in the Condado area named Bebo'. Has anyone been there? Please advise. Thanks in advance.
shellys76 Posted December 28, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2004 A friend of mine who lives in Puerto Rico took me to Bebo's in July. It was EXCELLENT! They serve Puerto Rican and Dominican food. The chicken and rice was out of this world, and the prices were also very reasonable. I would definetely recommend going there, and I can't wait to go back myself! :)
Snackdaddy Posted December 29, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted December 29, 2004 shellys76, Thank you for your feedback. We were starting to get a bit concerned that no one on the boards had been to Bebo's. Since my co-worker is Puerto Rican, we guess Bebo's must be a very well kept secret amongst tourists. Thanks again.
Tracy&Jason Posted December 30, 2004 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2004 Bebo's is on our short list of potential restaurants while we are in San Juan pre & post cruise. If we make it there I will post after Jan. 10th when we return!

Maria&Don Posted January 8, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2005 We'll be in SJ, Condado area from 1/26-1/29 pre-cruise. Just where in the area is this great-sounding restaurant? We'll be at the Marriott Resort & Casino.
Tracy&Jason Posted January 19, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2005 Bebo's is on Calle Loiza 1600 in Condado. It is about a block and a half from the Best Western Pierre. It is a very local restaurant, both our cab driver and tour guide recommended it. The food was very good, especially Cammarones a Criollo! Prices were also quite reasonable ($6.50-$14.50/entree). Check out this link for other restaurant suggestions in San Juan! http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6338897/ In Old San Juan we tried El Punta (or La Punta...I can't remember). It was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable (about $8.50-$10.00 per entree)! THe plantain cups with shrimp were terrific as were the fried sweet plantains. My husband really enjoyed the grilled chicken with rice and beans. El Punta is located down a narrow outlet on Calle Fortaleza between Calle Cristo and Calle San Jose. This was also a local recommendation from our tour guide. We were the only tourists in the restaurant, which is quite small but that made it even more special!
