hourly rate/Sheraton

I noticed a few people said that they booked a "day hotel" and got a 6hr/12 hour rate -- when i called a couple of the larger hotels i was unable to get an hourly rate. how did you go about booking for less than a 24hr stay? also, is the sheraton adequate for day hotel purposes (i know that compared to beachcomber/le meridian it's not as good, but just want someplace to put my bags!)

You can email them through the Sheraton website. That is what I did to find out if a day room was feasible. The rate was about half (around $200 or just under that) for 8 hours this past fall. Very high we thought for that hotel, so we passed.
