Grumpy8 Posted June 27, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted June 27, 2009 Most ships use either cash (bills only) or your cruise card. So how does the payout work? Does the machine give you paper receipt or coins?
Yo Eleven Posted June 27, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2009 From what I remember from my last Princess cruise, you get a receipt which you take to the cage to get your cash. Oh by the way, if you haven't visited the new casino forum here at CC check it out here! http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
mfw2 Posted June 27, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 27, 2009 At the slots you can insert cash and receive credits or you can also receive credits from your cruise card. If you wantto cash out you must use your cruise card though and it will send your winnings to your cruise card which you create a pin # for. You go to the cage and swipe your card, insert your pin #, and sign a receipt and you are then given cash for your winnings. At the tables you can use cash or card to receive chips and to cash those out you just bring them to the cage.
Toto2Kansas Posted June 27, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 27, 2009 So how does the payout work? Does the machine give you paper receipt or coins? You are not given a paper receipt. You insert your cruise card and open a 'slot bank' on your cruise card (if you need assistance to start with, staff members will be there to help). It is not actually linked to your shipboard account although on the same card. You put your winnings on your card by pushing a few buttons on the machine, and then you have the option of moving to another machine and inserting your card, and taking whatever you like out of that to play again, (as much or as little as you want), or you can take your card to the casino cage and cash it out whenever you like. ;) But Princess slots do not spit out little paper slips to take to the casino cage, and I have never seen a Princess ships that does it that way. It used to be you had to wait for a staff member to come over, fill out a slip, have it verified and signed, and then you could take it to the cage. No more waiting for all this to take place, your cruise card does it all. ;)
karmacruiser Posted June 27, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 27, 2009 When we were on the CB in December, the machines I played paid in coins. I chose not to use my cruise card, I prefer to live off the grid! ;):p

Wavrider Posted June 27, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 27, 2009 What I'm reading is the slots pay out not in coins but ticket, right? Has anyone ever hit in the casino?
Toto2Kansas Posted June 27, 2009 #10 Share Posted June 27, 2009 What I'm reading is the slots pay out not in coins but ticket, right? Has anyone ever hit in the casino? Actually NO. They don't pay out with a ticket, you must download your win to your slot bank on your cruise card.
