Carnival Speedboat Turtle Snorkel

This was by far the best excursion we did on our first Southern Caribbean cruise. We had a wonderful day snorkeling with the turtles and over the shipwreck, then a very relaxing couple hours on a beautiful deserted beach with lots of rum punches.

Not sure who the operator was but it doesn't matter - the excursion was perfect.:)

We didn't do anything on St. Lucia but on Antiqua we went to Prickley Pear Island and snorkeled. It was fabulous. This was the best excursion of our 2008 cruise. Here is the info.

PRIVATE ISLAND SNORKEL ADVENTURE411029A.jpg Experience paradise below as you snorkel on a secluded island off of Antigua’s north coast.

On this excursion you will:

  • Begin with an approximate 20-minute bus transfer to Hodges Bay.
  • Board a boat for the quick crossing to a private island.
  • Disembark the boat in shallow water off the shores of Prickly Pear Island, named for its vegetation.
  • Enjoy a swim or snorkel through the reef on a mesmerizing underwater tour.
  • Explore the crystal clear waters that are home to a variety of reef fish such as Snapper, Hine, Jack Fish, Blue Tag, Grunt, and Doctor Fish.
  • Relax on the soft, white sand while you enjoy a complimentary soft drink and work on your tan.

Note: Minimum age is 5 years. One soft drink, snorkel, masks, umbrellas and a beach chair are included. Lifejackets or flotation devices will be provided and are compulsory.

Additional drinks are available for purchase. Time on the island is approximately 2 hours.
