El Yunque and Bio Bay excursion

We will be spending 2 days pre cruise in San Juan but will ony be there for 1 full day and would like to make the most of our time. We are considering renting a car and driving to El Yunque and then do the BioBay excursion at night given by East Wind Excursions. We would like to go from the rainforest to the Puerto del Rey Marina where the excursion leaves from. Is the rainforest and the marina anywhere near each other? Is this doable in a day?

Sure- that sounds like a great plan.

The rainforest is in Rio Grande. The next town is Luquillo, then Fajardo (where the boats go out of). So you are talking maybe 20-30 mins max drive time between them once you get on RT 3 (at the bottom of the rainforest).

 

Totally doable in a day and a great day it will be!
