Weather in January at Progresso

Could anyone tell me the approximate weather in Progresso around the middle of January? I am thinking of booking a cruise to Progresso and Cozumel for January 18, 2010, but am worried that it may be to cool to swim at that time. I am from Oklahoma and we have snow and ice at this time of the year. I want to know if it is warm enough to swim and lay out on the beach during this time. Thanks in advance for any info you can give me concerning that time of year for these two ports.

We have a house about 6 miles west of Progreso, and you can swim in both our pool or the ocean throughout the year. It stays in the mid to upper 80's. The locals find this cold though.

The exception to this is if a Norte (north wind) blows through, the temperature can drop, and drop quickly, and it is too cold for swimming.

I actually prefer this time of year in the area.
