Le Meridien Tahiti

Does anyone know if there is a grocery store or convenience store near the Le Meridien in Papeete? I am hoping I can walk to a store to buy snacks, drinks, etc at a reasonable price. Is this possible?

I have not stay there yet but I read there is a shopping area near (meaning walkable) the hotel. There suppose to be a grocery store and a local eatery. I'm planning on staying there myself in September.
