Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I'm leaving Friday for NJ for a Bermuda cruise on May 11. Everything is ready to pack tomorrow.
  2. I usually don't buy things in Chico's because their clothes don't fit me. I have been looking for navy pants and looked everywhere and could not find anything so I thought I would give Chico's a try. I found just what I was looking for. I need petite and the stores carry a very small selection. I don't look at the tops because I like more fitted styles. Lois, I like the jeans you bought. I may go over to Chico's this weekend and see if I can find these. Did you get the jeans in petite?
  3. Kat, Your trips sound like you had fun. Great pictures. Melody, Is there anyone else in the salon you would go to for a cut? Or just to have your hair washed? When I broke my wrist, I had a blow out every week. No way could I wash my hair.
  4. I've been taking vitamin D3 for years. They are easy to take because they are small and soft.
  5. This week I had a couple of doctor appts. On Tuesday I had a follow up with the podiatrist for the capsulitis. It is better but not completely gone. The doctor made a couple of straps for that toe that are removable. I don't need to wear the strap all the time. Today I saw the cardiologist. The results from the holter monitor were good and I also asked about all the tests done in the hospital. He told me everything looked good. I don't need to see him for 3 months. Melody - Hope your recovery and PT go smoothly. Lois - As your MD told you, maybe your system needs to adjust after all you've gone through and everything clears up on its own.
  6. I have been on many solo cruises. Going to Bermuda next month on Celebrity. When I go to the WJ, I also leave a sign "Occupied, coming right back" and I take an old paperback and leave it on the table. After getting a beverage and silverware, I go back for food and try to get whatever I want at once. After getting the food, I go back to see what the desserts are and I either get one or fruit. I try to get everything I want so I don't need to get up. Tipping your chair forward also shows the table is occupied.
  7. Melody - Sorry to hear about this setback for Les. Hope he does well tomorrow. Lois - I can understand how you feel about taking a long flight. I was supposed to go to Alaska next month but changed the cruise to Bermuda. I see the cardiologist Friday to get the results of the Holter monitor. Kat - Cool looking sneakers.
  8. Lois, Good to know you are back home and the procedure went well. Is your sister still with you?
  9. I think it is way over the top. To me there really isn't much to see. I watched the eclipse over one city and after that, shut off the tv. TV stations have been hyping this and people want to jump on the bandwagon.
  10. Melody - Nice pictures as always. Happy birthday to Les. Lois - Hope your procedure goes well.
  11. Hi Lois, Good to hear you are home. Hope your test results show nothing serious. Take care.
  12. Hi Lois, Oh no. I am so sorry to hear this. I'm glad you don't have any pain from the kidney stone. I had one and it was really painful. I will be thinking of you and hoping for good news. Keep your spirits up. Definitely keep up posted.
