Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We sailed on the Oasis of the Seas last summer with our then 6 month old and there was a small splash area just for diapered babies.
  2. Correct. It was originally 8/19 but they have since added a day.
  3. We are 2 adults and 3 kids. They will be 9, 7 and 2 at the time of the sailing. The BL1 has bunk beds and the baby could stay with us in the large bed if necessary but we really wanted the 2nd bathroom. They did move it to another studio but it's on the complete other side of the ship. I think what I was looking for was if anyone thinks MSC will make this right or should I just give up.
  4. Not until 8/2024 so we have plenty of time until final payment but the price has increased and there doesn't seem to be any studios available anymore.
  5. This is what we booked. Our's is a BL1 (aft balcony) and a IS (studio) for a family of 5. I don't know if MSC officially calls these "family balcony" but I found the same terminology used on other sites.
  6. Supposedly they keep telling them that it's in inventory and to call back in 72hrs. This is going on every 3 days since August.
  7. We are a family of 5 and booked what our TA called a "family cabin" which is really just a 4 person cabin connected to a studio. In August there was an itinerary change on our sailing and along with that MSC changed both our cabins. They are nowhere near each other! Since August our TA has been calling MSC constantly and their only response has been "this will be resolved in 72 hrs". After 5+ times of them saying this will be resolved in 72hrs we still have no resolution. At this point should we just assume MSC isn't going to do anything about it? I know other cruise lines have executive contacts that usually help in these situations is there anyone at MSC I can reach out to?
  8. We just recieved another email from MSC: Dear Valued Guest We are contacting you with important updates regarding MSC Meraviglia sailings departing from New York City on the following dates: 8/11/2024; 8/19/2024; 8/25/2024; 9/4/2024. 9. It looks like the sailing is getting added and removed. As of right now it is not available to be booked. MSC just sent the following to those that are already booked: "We are contacting you with an important update concerning your cruise which is scheduled to sail on 8/19/2024 from New York City aboard MSC Meraviglia. Due to necessary operational reasons, we have had to make some modifications to your cruise itinerary. This is to inform you that your 6-night sailing on 8/19/2024 has been rescheduled and will now depart from New York on 8/18/2024. Please note that the length of your cruise has been extended to 7 nights. You will not be charged for the extra night. The itinerary has also been modified."
  10. This makes the most sense. There are sailings leaving this week that I'm sure are sold out but are still on the website. This is completely removed.
  11. I booked a sailing for 8/19/24 on the Meraviglia but it no longer shows up on the MSC website. If I login I do still see the sailing in my account but I cant add additional rooms. Does this mean anything? Should I be expecting a cancellation or change in itinerary?
  12. I have 2 separate reservations but in connecting cabins. How do we make sure this doesn't happen?
  13. Why would proximity be a challenge? Wouldn't that only be a problem with guranteed?
  14. I'm looking at a cabin and there seems to be a symbol that isn't showing on the legend and I wanted to see if anyone knows what it means. 9294 and 9290 should be a mirrored floorplan but there is a symbol showing on 9294 and wanted to check if anyone has any insight.
  15. I think this week or next week is a slightly different itinerary. Not the usual Sun - Sun 7 day. Cruise compass might be a little off.
