2thesea Posted November 8, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2012 We are sailing on the FOS Dec 2, my daughter is in a wheelchair will we have issues with the tender and/or getting around on Coco Cay?
germanyboy Posted November 8, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2012 We saw some super large wheeled wheelchair type buggies for people to use on the beaches. And it was still looked like hard work moving thru the sand. Wouldn't want to try to go too far from dock/sales/food/first beach areas.

2thesea Posted November 8, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted November 8, 2012 Thank you for the info. Our daughter has multiple disabilities but she loves the water. We are hoping to be able to get her to the beach and in the ocean of the water isn't too cold :D We havn't been to Coco Cay in YEARS and we are really looking forward to it! Ripley's Lady Posted November 8, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2012 There is also a little train that will take you around Coco Caye - if you have a wheel chair - you will be able to do the new craft areas as well as the BBQ and drink areas which are shaded with covered picnic tables on concrete. You should have no problem on the concrete or walk ways. There is no charge for the mini train although most people do tip the drivers. It sure beats walking in the hot sun - even for those of us who are not in wheelchairs! Enjoy your trip!
