DDDpiston1 Posted July 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2005 Hello to all- I will be on the Carribean Princess in August stopping in Ocho Rios. I am going with several people who want to climb Dunn's River Falls. I however would like to see it but not climb it due to heel and ankle issues. Is there a nice beach at the Falls I can go to while my friends and family climb? Thanks for the information! :)
KenMo Posted July 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2005 Yes....there is a beach area at the bottom of the falls. Seems like there were several picnic tables available. Also, restrooms are there. We took a boat to the falls and were dropped off at the beach, then climbed the falls. I think some tours are dropped off at the top of the falls. To get to the beach, you'd have to walk the trail down to the beach. You could also wait at the top, if walking down the trail would be an issue. At the top are places to buy something to eat/drink/trinkets. Have fun!!
john22 Posted July 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2005 Hi, There is a beach at the bottom of Dunns River Falls to hang out and relax. I was in Jamaica and had Marva Shaw-Taxi and Tour Service provide my transportation from the boat. She can be reached at 1 876 726 0361 or go to http://www.knowjamaica.com/ and email her. Great lady and great service. John
