Where is the best place/thread to learn about Atlantis?

I've never had an interest in Atlantis. Now that I know the drinking/gambling age is 18, we might have more of an interest. Our twins would probably enjoy having a beer and playng a few slots with their dad which I would be okay with.

But we have a 7 year old so I would need to do something with him (I don't mind splitting up with him for a while so the twins and dad can have some fun together). But I have zero interest in the waterpark or aquarium (we get plenty of both throughout the year in Orlando). Going to the beach or having lunch or something might be fun. Or I could even just do something else in Nassau. I'm totally open to ideas.

Anyway, I'm clueless on what Atlantis has to offer. I knew about the waterpark but since none of us will want that, what else does it have and where do I find pricing? I tried searching but it's hard to narrow down specifics.

The 3 day passes are

Full access (waterpark, pools, beach, DIGS)

DIGS only (no pools,slides beach, grounds)

Beach and DIGS (no pools or slides

On the website, you'll find Dolphin encounters, snorkeling the ruins (aquarium) etc. These can be booked by non-guests.

Feedings and other things held on the property are for guests only (or those with full access passes.)

Your hubby and Kids will be allowed in the casino, but you child will not.

You are not allowed in the lobbies either... the only place open to the public is the casino and a handful of high end shops in the coral tower.

So.. if you don't have a problem splitting up.. Nassau has a pirates museum, a zoo, 3 forts with cannons and plenty of other options. Why not stay in town and let your hubby go off to gamble. This way you and your son can soak in some of Nassau's culture while the rest of your family loses their shirts..

Okay so the only way to access the pools is to do the full waterpark? I was just peeking on the site and must say, the pools look pretty neat!

The thing is, we live here in Orlando and have passes to most stuff so we do a lot of waterpark stuff. But the 7 year old is not a swimmer. So any slide that goes into deep water or knocks him underwater is out (he's exactly 48" right now). Maybe by the time we go in October that will change. But I hate to pay a steep price when I know he can't do a lot of the slides. But the pools might be nice.

I am assuming it's extremely crowded there? If it's not too bad, I might consider doing the full access and letting him play in the pools. If the place is really busy, I'd rather just go off with him and soak up the culture.

ETA: Oh, and what is DIGS?

the Digs is the aquarium.

If u just want a nice pool, head to the sheraton - 3 pools, great beach, $30pp 1/2 price for kids. It's a quick jitney ride away.. #10 jitney (bus) is $1.25pp.
