barnacle_boy Posted December 28, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 28, 2013 The Thermal Suite aboard Getaway will be the same as on Breakaway. Hydrotherapy pool, hot tub, steam room, saunas, salt room, hot tile loungers, etc. $200 per person for the week.

Like they have for free on RCI and X?? While not free, the price of the spa pass might just be well worth its pricetag. Click the link to check out the spa on Getaway... http://www.getaway.ncl.com/ship/spa/spa-overview/ ;)

I'm only on for 1 night so will give that a miss I think!
barnacle_boy Posted December 29, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 29, 2013 It's "only" $50 if you want to use it for a day. I think NCL's spa prices are pretty ridiculous for what they offer. One more increase, and I don't think they become even remotely justifiable anymore.
crusinmama06 Posted December 29, 2013 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2013 Actually, you have to pay for the spa on Royal ships (I know I do). So this is the same thing. ;) [/url]

So this is the same thing. ;) On Royal ships there is usually a sauna or steam room in the ladies changing rooms in the gym which is free to use. So this is the same thing. ;) OP wanted to know if there were free sauna and steam room facilities. A number of RCI ships (Radiance, Voyager, and Freedom Classes) do in addition to the spa. Many NCL ships have free steam rooms attached to the fitness centers, but they are usually very cramped and small.

Which is actually two different things on royal.
barnacle_boy Posted December 29, 2013 #11 Share Posted December 29, 2013 The clarification given by the OP in his subsequent response clearly shows the intent was to ascertain the extent of complimentary services regardless of how or through what facilities they are provided. Spa/solarium/thermal suite/courtyard/fitness center/whatever. Those details are irrelevant to the matter of whether or not the ship provides them for free as does RCI with most of their fleet.
