Using money onboard the ship (using credits)
little britain replied to Minuet888's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Either. When you do your online checkin you elect to pay by card or cash. If it’s cash they allow you to spend $500 and then you will get a call to come and pay off your debts. Even if you elect to pay by card you can still go to pay off the balance with cash -
It’s just like a hotel where you have to put your room key into a slot to get the lights working. The idea is to be more environmentally conscious and ensures power is not wasted to a room that is empty. Why would you leave the lights on in a room that you are not in?

Oasis has an unusual plug set up! There are 3 USA on the desk, and 1 USA and 1 European under the desk and a USA by the bed. She has no usb and no UK plugs.

Calculating Crown & Anchor Points
little britain replied to jrapps's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Until Jan 1, 2003 it was 1 credit per cruise no matter the stateroom category or length of cruise. After Jan 1, 2003, an extra credit was given for cruises of 12 days or longer. After Jan 1, 2004, an extra credit was given for cruises in a JS or better. Conversion 21.01.11 Conversion from old cruise credits to cruise points: If credits were 1-4, points = credits * 7 + 1 If credits were 5-7, points = credits * 7 + 3 If credits were > 7, points = credits * 7 + 13 so your 1 credit * 7 + 1 = 8. -
That is madness as when I was on Spectrum last month the silver lounge, the silver dining and the gold dining were always empty!!! Why does the email refer to “star/sky/sea” lounge as there is no such venue in Spectrum??!!

Adventure is coming over to Europe in October for her drydock then going back at the end of November. Very unusual to have an East bound Transatlantic in October!

Post great deals that you just booked...
little britain replied to MrCruze's topic in Royal Caribbean International
There is a newish low cost airline called Norse which flies to many USA destinations from London. We paid £369pp including hold luggage ($472pp) for LHR MCO If you want to return from Europe check out TAP - Portuguese national carrier for good one way prices. -

Anyone cruised without drinks package?

@Mum2Mercury OP is on Anthem from Southampton. There is no 18% added. It is built into the price fyi -
But there is no marching higher than that (currently), so as a Pinnacle on RCI I will still be Elite on X. As @gerif says, the perks are not very good when compared to RCI. The drinks benefit is useless as only in certain bars, during a very small window, when we are usually getting dressed for dinner so don't have our first drink until around 7pm. There is a 1-category upgrade when you book which could save you about $20 🤷♀️

* There will be a sale around 4/7 … if you buy now and the price drops then, you can cancel and rebook. * Yes there are fridges (and kettles) on cruises from Southampton. * Yes your 18 yr old will be able to drink ( so he will probably smash the package lol). * You can bring on 2 bottles per cabin, and they never charge corkage. If they say they will just take bottle back to cabin, open it and pour yourself a glass and walk into dining room with it! * Strictly no sharing of packages allowed and if one in the cabin buys the package, then all in cabin must have package. Perhaps rearrange the sleeping arrangements to put the heavy drinkers in same cabin ( on paper at least) *You can buy the package a few days into the cruise… I know many people “overdo” it on the first day and then slow down! Especially with a lot of port intensive days. Coming back on at 6pm then “having” to do 6-7 drinks to get your monies worth when you’re exhausted isn’t worth it. -
"Best of Florence and Pisa" Excursion
little britain replied to Steven Pricharad's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Pisa is very overrated. Go to Florence. Get off the ship and get on your way asap as it’s a long way https://global.flixbus.com/bus-routes/bus-florence-la-spezia -

I have used bagsngo several times in Barcelona. They have a stand right by where you collect your luggage off the carousel when disembarking the ship. Barcelona Locker + Luggage Delivery - Book Now - 24/7 Service (bagsandgo.com) Allow time to collect the luggage at the airport. And make sure it is delivered to the correct terminal as they are spread out!

Alcohol for 20 year old?
little britain replied to garnet115's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Yes there definitely was a waiver, as you say about 15 years ago. All countries allow 18 yr olds to drink apart from the USA 🤷♀️ -

The number of water bottles actually delivered seems to vary a lot in our experience.
