Blackjack on Princess

My wife and I are sailing on Island Princess in April, and like to play blackjack on board. It has been over two years (way too long) since our last cruise. Can someone who has been on Island Princess (or any Princess ship) recently tell me what table minimums are now? Also, is Princess still paying 3:2 for blackjack, or are they paying 6:5?

I was on the Island Princess a while ago. I do play a little blackjack but I can't remember exactly what they did. Seems to me they had a 6:5 payout but had a 3:2 on a table with higher minimums. How's that for a big help? Nice ship.

While on Caribbean Princess last October I noticed several blackjack tables with $5.00 minimums.

I just got off the Crown Princess a week ago and most of the blackjack tables had a $5 minimum. One table was at $10 minimum. They all have the continuous shuffle machines which neither my wife nor myself will play at. The one hand shuffled game was fun 21 which is the same as Spanish 21 only the queens are removed from the deck instead of the 10's.

I called to inquire as to how to get registered with the Player's Club. My wife and I are going on the Ruby Princess out of Southampton in late June. I like to play blackjack.

I was told by the CSR (believe her name was Maria) that they have both $5 CSM blackjack games, and $10+ shoe-based blackjack games. She told me that she believed that the shoe games are 6 deck, but that some might be 8 deck.

We sailed on the Ruby Princess in the Carribean in January, and I did not get rated. Was not aware at the time of any benefits from being rated by the casino. The CSR told me that I had indeed been rated, and that I could pick up $50 from the cage when I enter the casino on our cruise.

Anyone know if this is just their way of making a passenger/player feel special, and if this is common. Or perhaps they somehow knew who I was, even though I never provided them my cabin card, nor gave them my name? Just curious.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions to get them to improve upon that $50 spiff they are providing? Not being greedy, but....

I got rated on my last Royal Princess cruise, by day 3 of 7, I had all drinks comped for my companion and myself as soon as I walked in the casino.

$100 for wine at the MDR, dinner at the specialty restraunt, and chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in thecroom.

They also offered me $500 On my next cruise if booked within 30 days, so I booked a 1 day coastal in which the casino opened for only 3 hours.

Played BJ for basically 3 hiyrs a night at 20-25 a hand, 2 habds at a time though

How long ago where you on the Royal Princess?

I am curious as to whether you found "21" tables without CSMs? I will not play against those machines. If there were CSMs on some tables, but not on others, what differentiated those tables, Min/Max levels? If so, what were the Min/Max levels on tables that did not have the CSMs.

As made famous in Dirty Harry, "I gots to know".

All tables had CSMs, they tracked yiu as soon as you sat down, buying in or not. They have all tables computerized marking which squares you were playing.

Was on the apr 6, 2014.

Minimums were $5, with 10 and 25 tables

There were 8 decks, and the dealer took 2 cards, I had to adjust my playing technique, but walked away 5/6 days with a minimum $500 daily.

Definately lots of beginners, so I stayed on the $25 dollar table most of the time.

Amazing, as Ocean Players Club told me that the CSMs would only be on the lower Min/Max tables.

That sucks!

Here's to hoping that they are correct, and that perhaps the Ruby Princess has not yet had all of the CSMs installed.
