vipercwf Posted February 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2010 I have verizon and have a smart phone so I'm constantly getting emails, data etc to my cell. I'm taking the carnival fascination to Nassau and Half Moon cay. Does anyone know what to do, should I literally just keep my cell phone off the whole trip to avoid data charges that I'm assuming I would incur? Does the ship provide any kind cell phone service. I think the one I went on last year had ATT, but could be mistaken. Anyways, any insight is greatly appreciated!

I have a BlackBerry and I do it all the time. On the Blackberry it's Options /Mobile network/ Data Services - OFF WHEN ROAMING Check to see how to do it on your phone Call you provider and ask for assistance. Don't forget, you'll need international service on your phone to get use it in the bahamas .. $2.59 per minute for calls incoming and outgoing. $.45 for outgoing txts. It adds up quickly.
