We could not tender or dock but it was really emotional to go where explorers had been centuries before us. We got some great pictures. Celebrity had a wonderful naturalist to explain what we were seeing in the observation lounge. We have great pictures of the lighthouse and the flag. We wonder how the explorers ever had the daring to go into that vast vast sea.

Whole experience even from on board a luxury liner was amazing.

We where there in '09 the ship stopped while the Capt & a few crew got on a tender to visit the Light House keeper to drop of some things. The weather was cool but very calm, when we looked over the side we could see our reflection in the water, not a ripple.
