We are going to be in Nassau on March 17 from 7 AM to 4 PM. Riu is $75 all inclusive and Hilton is $60 with a $40 food/drink voucher. Our group consists of 4 people in their early 50's, 6 people in their 20's, and a one year old.

1) How much does it cost to get a cab to the Riu?

2) How long does it take to get there?

3) Can you walk to the Hilton or is it truly too far to walk?

4) Hours of food & drink availability?

I heard the Hilton bar opens at 11 with food opening at 11:30?

5) Comparison of beaches, pools, drinks, and food?

6) How is Señor Frogs by the Hilton?

Any info would be greatly appreciated! :)

1) How much does it cost to get a cab to the Riu?

$4 pp /

2) How long does it take to get there?

Usually 10 minutes, but during rush hours it could be more. Coming home could take as much as an hour if you hit the bridge after 4:20, it gets backed up for an hour or more.

3) Can you walk to the Hilton or is it truly too far to walk?

It's an easy walk - 10 minutes or less.

4) Hours of food & drink availability?

Correct - Hilton opens at 11 and closes at 4:30pm:

Similar hours for RIU, Day pass hours are 9-5, but the bar doesn't open until 10:30/11am. Lunch at 11:30.

5) Comparison of beaches, pools, drinks, and food?

RIU - Beach is Cabbage Beach, next to Atlantis and the FREE beach. It's steps down from the pool, and chairs are available, but you have to rent umbrellas from the locals. No beach service, and water can be rough at times. There's jet skis, banana boats and other motorized sports which are unregulated and sometimes dangerous, they are also VERY noisy and can be annoying if you just want to relax on the beach. This is a very busy beach. Single Pool with Swim up bar. Small property. Can't talk to the food.

Hilton - Private property and private beach in the harbour, with no jet ski's or other motorized vehicles. Kayaks and tubes available. This is a very small property. Very quiet and relaxed. It's NOT a resort atmosphere. More for those who would rather relax and read a book or work on your tan. Not a lot to do for kids, although they do have some pails and shovels. Pools is small and relaxed. No jumping, splashing or carrying on.

It's a business hotel. Nice palapas, day beds and cabanas available to all.

Food is good, wraps, burgers, fish fingers, salads etc. Drinks are generally strong and tasty. This is for those who want to relax. Beach and Pool service available.

6) How is Señor Frogs by the Hilton?

It's a busy franchise restaurant. Mainly cruise ship patrons. Some people love it others - not so much.

Which one would you recommend Scubagirl, or is there another resort we should be looking at? Where do you think the 20 year olds would enjoy the most? Keep in mind we won't be getting to the resort until 9 and we need to leave at 3 to get back to the ship by 3:30.
