Misty_Que Posted September 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2015 I am trying to get a quote with each of these car services and have a question regarding luggage. There are 2 of us and we will be travelling with 2 suitcases and 2 carry-ons. When it asks for the number of pieces of luggage - does the carry on count as a piece of luggage? Because when I do count it as 4 pieces, it only offers me a van. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am looking for a quote from a Newark hotel to the Bayonne cruise port and another from the cruise port to a NYC hotel. Thanks for the help! Rare markeb Posted September 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2015 I've done town cars with Carmel with two checked and two 20-22 inch rolling carry-ons. Pretty sure they just don't want 4 26" rolling bags.
klepton Posted September 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2015 I would think you'd be ok in a sedan, we've done a sedan before with 4 pieces of luggage. Worst case scenario, just hold the carry-ons in your lap, thouh I doubt that would be necessary.
Brighton Line Posted September 3, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2015 Does anyone have any experience with this? I always put 2 people two bags, travel with two large and two rollaboards when doing a long trip (most of the time its all carry on). Never had an issue with Carmel. Matter of fact just booked my trip to JFK from Brooklyn for the 12th putting that in. I just played with the online system and 2, 3 or 4 bags all the same price.
