downundermatt Posted April 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2016 Am hoping to visit Trogir for the Morning, and back to Split in the afternoon to look around before sailaway. Was thinking of taking the Bura Line boat in the morning, and maybe return by bus or boat in the afternoon depending on timings. Frankly am struggling with the Croatian website. Is this feasible ? Has anyone done this ? Any idea of the timings for next month ? Most grateful for any tips.
Daniela32 Posted April 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2016 They will start with this line from June 1st. There is a bus station (international, intercity) very near your boat. This is better than the local bus line which has numerous stops.
LTC Posted May 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2016 Am hoping to visit Trogir for the Morning, and back to Split in the afternoon to look around before sailaway. We wanted to take the ferry to Trogir in the morning but there was no ferry so went to the bus depot...you cross the street, turn left and it's a short walk. The bus from Split goes directly to the Trogir bus station. It took about 40 minutes with no stops and cost 25 kunas p/p each way. We loved Trogir, it's a wonderful place to walk around. We were going to take the 3pm bus back but saw a water ferry that was leaving at 3 so decided to take that back. It took an hour as it stopped at another place before Split. In May, June, July and August the cost is 24 kunas p/p the other months 40 kunas p/p (I guess because they are not as busy?) We were back in Split a little after 4pm so we had an hour to look around. We had been to Split before so we didn't need to spend much time there. Split is also a nice place to spend time. I'm not 100% sure but think that the bus leaves every hour on the hour from both Split and Trogir, but you will be there in tourist season so the buses may run more frequently.
