Please help in Geiranger Fjord

Please help in Geiranger Fjord:

Do you recommend taking a bus tour ?

There are two tours, what is more is more recommended:

Geiranger Panorama Bus (1:30h)

or

Dalsnibba / Mountain Highlight Bus (2:15 h)

Do you recommend buying tickets in advance?

Is there a possibility that there will be no tickets on site when we will arrive (19/8)?

Thanks in advance for your answers

There are a number of bus operators at Gerainger and you can turn up and buy a ticket when you arrive. A few years ago the short tour was about $30 each.

Waiting until you arrive is actually a sensible approach. If the weather is bad there is no point doing the tour as within 10 minutes of climbing the fjord side you will be in thick fog and won't see anything!

We just got back and I highly recommend the Mt. Dalsnibba. The views are amazing. I can say the Lofoten Islands and Geiranger,Dalsnibba were my favorites.

Also, the souvenir shop is Geiranger is reasonable in price.
