Eager2Travel Posted June 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2017 We are looking into insurance for an October cruise as final pay is approaching. We don't usually take the cruise line's insurance but it is very reasonable. As anyone had any experience using it or any advice for us? Thanks for any help. floridaphilly Posted August 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2017 I am also interested in a response. I have been told by my travel agent, that we will only get a ship credit back if we cancel, not a dollar refund. To buy trip insurance privately is about 30% more than Seabourn is quoting. I am mainly interested because I have an elderly mother who is fine right now but at 95 anything could happen at any time. I would want something with a pre-existing waiver since she is on some meds but perfectly stable and self sufficient.
