Belfast by private car

We are looking into renting a car in Belfast and doing some touring on our own.

Does anyone know if there are any car rental places near the port?

I suggest you consider a tour to the Giant's Causeway and Rope Bridge, some miles north of the city.

Most tours include a city of Belfast tour.

We used Odyssey, they were excellent.

The closest car hire would be in the arrivals hall at George Best (Belfast City) Airport. You could get a taxi from the dock to there in around 10-15 mins. There are also taxis at the front of the airport for going back to the dock.

As far as I know Enterprise will bring the car to you, this might be a possibility if they can bring the car to the dock. You could contact them to check?

This helps a lot. Now to decide...tour or go it on our own. We like to come and go as we please and not have to wait on others. :)
