Vibe Questions for recent Getaway travelers

Hi all,

My husband and I are going on our first cruise August 16th and would love to try to get Vibe passes, as I'm on medication that makes me burn easily and I read that vibe has big shade umbrellas you don't have to fight over!;) My questions are:

1. A lot of the reports about when you shoudl arrive are from April-May, so anyone traveling this summer June/July, how early did you arrive at the port to get the passes? Is 830 overkill?

2. Where do you enter on the ship? I know its deck seven, but where is guest services in relation to where you board? What's the fastest way there?

3. Do you get your boarding pass group when you check-in? Will checking wine slow down the check-in process and get a later boarding group?

We are so excited to be traveling on the getaway! After a disastrous Italian honeymoon (hubby got shingles, canceled car rental, ect.) we are looking forward to this low stress second honeymoon! :D

Wow... 8:30 is way too early to get to the port... You may end up standing outside in the sun at that hour... I'm pretty sure you can manage to get vibe passes showing up around 10...

We were on BA last week and we arrived at the port at 9:15, got the corkage fees taken care of and received boarding group 7. Guest Services is on 6 and we walked very fast down the stairs to get on line. The group of 6 people behind us in line received the last passes.

Wow, 9:15 and boarding group 7. We probably will get there and stand in the sun if it means we can relax the rest of the vacation. I think we have pretty much decided we don't need the cabanas so hopefully we can get the regular vibe passes. Thanks for the info!
