Whats the best Land/Sea Alaska Cruise?

I'm in the initial stages for planning a Land/Sea Cruise for July of 2015. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best cruise line, and tour package to take?

I would look at cruisetours with either Princess or Holland America. There are so many tours and options that it's hard to say which is best. What is your budget? How many days can you be away from home? What are your interests? What do you want to do and see? These are just a few of the questions you need to ask yourself.

I agree with Roz's suggestion of HAL or Princess. Both do an outstanding job. You're on the go a lot during the land portion and it can be pretty tiring. Suggest you do it first then relax and enjoy the cruise portion. Whichever you choose you're going to have a fantastic time!!

We've done HAL cruisetours three times. All have been wonderful. Check the itineraries of each (plus Princess') and see what appeals to you. Loved Skagway and the Whitepass Railroad but that's just leading into (or out of) the interior tour. See as much as you can and it is good advice to consider tour first but we liked both ways and aren't young. Envy your planning!
